Horizon's Application Development Team Puts New
Methods into Motion using Automated SPE

Salem, NH January 2011- As a part of Horizon's Total Solution methodlogy it is a key initiative to continue developing and advancing new methods and techniques to address challenges waning on the Environmental Labs industry. To face these challenges head on Horizon has a dedicated and talented Applications Development Team in place.

Most recently, three new application notes have been developed ranging from complete methanol evaporation for LC applications, crude oil devastation in seawater, and organochlorine pesticides in water (EPA Method 8081). With the common goal to reduce sample preparation time, consistently deliver quality recoveries and make seemingly impossible sample processing possible.

Using Horizon products such as the SPE-DEX® 4790, DryVap® Evaporation System and Atlantic™ Brand SPE Disks and DryDisk® Separation Membranes in these applications, our team of experts were able to set new solid phase extraction standards for processing challenging water samples across a variety of methods. After extensive research and testing these methods are ready for public use to assist with difficult samples.
