Liquid-Solid Extraction and GC with Electron Capture Detector

These systems from Horizon Technology are optimized for
EPA Method 552.1

Dalapon is a colorless liquid with an acrid odor sold as sodium or magnesium salt. Dalapon is a herbicide used to control grasses in a wide variety of crops, including fruit trees, beans, coffee, corn, cotton and peas. It is also registered for use in a number of non-crop applications such as lawns, drainage ditches, along railroad tracks and in industrial areas.

Haloacetic Acids can be present in chlorinated drinking water as a chlorinated water disinfectant byproduct formed when the chlorine reacts with natural organic matter and/or bromide ions in raw water supplies. Other sources of haloacetic acids in the environment include waste water from chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, and industrial cooling water.
