UCMR Application Notes

UCMR2 - Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Regulation 2

The EPA UCMR2 program was developed to monitor US drinking water sources for currently unregulated compounds. UCMR2 sampling will occur during 2008-2010. This monitoring cycle includes 25 unregulated contaminants and five associated analytical methods.

Horizon Technology has developed turnkey solutions for some of these methods, that address UCMR2 requirements. The applications for EPA Method 525.2, 527, and 529 employ SPE with analysis by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The resulting data from labs has demonstrated that Horizon Technology's solution is capable of fully automating, and meeting compliance for EPA Methods 525, 527 and 529 under the UCMR2 program.
